VCAL gardening session

The College garden beds are bursting with lettuces, silver beet, parsley, spring onions, nasturtiums and wildflowers, propagated by the Year 7s in Term 2. The very wet conditions have been favourable for the healthy growth of the vegetables. The Year 11 VCAL group tendered to the beds. Weeding, digging away the kikuyu grass, watering, mulching, observing worms, bees and beetles and checking for pests. The garden shed also needed to be moved, so the group all worked together and walked the shed over to a new position. Thank you to Mr Peter Rennie and the boys for their help in the garden this week!
