Year 7 Science Mullum Mullum Valley Fieldwork Incursion
Year 7 Brandsma and 7 Lisieux enjoyed learning in the College Mullum Mullum Valley this week. The students have been studying their science unit “Habitats and Interactions†and it was a good opportunity to apply that knowledge in the field. Boys could recall the main themes, make observations, record data and apply their learning. Mr Murphy joined the 7B group and reminisced about his time as a student at the College and how students also used the bushland for recreational activities. The incursion included four sites; wetlands, bush track, bushland and the VCAL bird hide structure, where ecosystems, adaptations, food webs and impacts were explored. Whitefriars College is blessed to have this amazing outdoor classroom.
