Our Year 10 Indonesian students hosted a visit from the Year 10 Indonesian CLC students last week in what has become an annual gathering at the college. Christian Tolo, our Languages Captain welcomed the girls and their teacher, Ms Pauline Khoo and he spoke of the challenges and benefits of studying a language at senior levels and as always, listening to the perspective of a student is most valuable. It was a wonderful opportunity for the boys to meet the girls with whom they have been exchanging letters and cards in Indonesian and after some language activities, an introduction to the game of sepak takraw, some speed dating and a delicious Indonesian lunch, our students agreed that they hope to maintain this collaboration and contact with CLC as they continue their language studies.
