Victorian Secondary Schools Orienteering Championships

Recently, orienteering has been involved in Whitefriars, not once but twice! Whitefriars held the final race of the Melbourne Sprint Weekend (Labour Day weekend), concluding 6 races in 3 days across many different locations around Melbourne, with hundreds of orienteers racing around our incredibly challenging campus. It was a great day for all, and we appreciate the support of Whitefriars College in assisting to hold this amazing event.

Additionally, on Friday 13 May, two of our own students, Ash and Callum White, represented Whitefriars at the 2022 Victorian Secondary Schools Orienteering Championships. Held in the Macedon Regional Park and Plantation, it was a very successful day out, with both winning their age category (Ash in Junior Boys and Callum in Senior Boys). The next step for these two is being selected for the Victorian Schools Orienteering team, which will compete at the Australian Schools Orienteering Championships in September 2022, being held in Victoria. A fantastic run from both of these boys!
