On Monday 2 May, the Senior VCAL students hosted a Mother’s Day Stall. The day was commenced setting up the room, hampers, and posters to make our workspace as appealing and inviting as possible for our eager year 7 students. As the day commenced, the Year 7s came in and bought the majority of the items! A lot of hampers and different items were sold. We sold a variety of items for our mum’s; there were toiletries, office, cosy, beauty, cooking hampers and hampers for fitness. These hampers where also accompanied by single items such as stretch dogs, pencil cases, sewing kits and more.
The day was a great success! As students, it allowed us to run our own business, while making sure our communication and body language engaged the students to purchase from us.
With the money made today, we have been able to fund our Senior VCAL program for more hands-on projects to come. We would like to thank again the Year 7 students for their support and engagement in our first school stall and the assistance of all our teachers in the preparation for the stall.
