Year 11 student Liam Jones is undertaking the VET Certificate II in Hospitality (Kitchen Operations) through William Angliss as part of his VCE program during 2018. Liam has enjoyed being able to include a vocational qualification in his VCE program which will provide additional options when he finishes his secondary school studies in 2019.
Late in Term 3, Liam participated in the “Great Chefs” Program where noted Chefs mentor students through the challenging process of preparing a four-course dinner at the William Angliss restaurant. Liam was lucky enough to meet and work with Guy Grossi on the night. The menu involved crab followed by ravioli and lamb with a panna cotta to finish. In Liam’s words, “the experience was phenomenal, hard work, but well worthwhile for sure.”
