The Health and Physical Education department offers a wide range theoretical and practical activities designed to challenge students depending on the stream they select. Students are presented these activities to discover new and interesting ideas as they build on ‘life skills’ needed when they leave school. Maximum participation is the theme in all subjects. We have had a number of students follow their passion into a career in a number fields after experiencing and being introduced to many different activities.
Physical Education is offered as a core subject in Years 7 to 10 and as a VCE subject. Students also work through the new Australian Curriculum theory components that complement the practical units.

Health and Human Development is offered as a VCE subject in Year 11 and 12.
VCE Outdoor and Environmental Studies is concerned with the ways humans interact with and relate to outdoor environments. This enables students to make informed comment on questions of environmental sustainability and to understand the importance of environmental health, particularly in local contexts. Students will develop skills, knowledge and behaviours that promote safe and sustainable interaction with outdoor environments.
