Healesville Sanctuary

On Monday 2 March, our Bridging class went to Healesville Sanctuary for an excursion. We Travelled there by bus and arrived about 10 o’clock.

First, we went to the Platypus Centre. The platypuses were cute and lively. They swam around the pool and scratched their tummy’s. After that we visited the emus. We fed them with fruit and veggies that they enjoyed a lot.

Then we went to see the brush-tailed rock-wallabies and the kangaroos. One of the kangaroos had a baby in her pouch. We visited the Tasmanian Devils and Wombats. Unfortunately, I didn’t see any Tasmanian Devils, but I saw two big wombats. The wombats didn’t move very much but they slept a lot.

Another amazing show we saw was the Spirits of the Sky bird show. The show was wonderful, the birds did many difficult tricks which were really impressive. I liked the big Wedge Tail Eagle the most because he was so cool and strong.

I had a very good day, it was great!
