All International Students stay in College approved homestays. The student is met at the airport on first arrival, introduced to the family and helped during the important settling in period.

Our Director of International Students is available to families and students for guidance and assistance during the term of the placement.

The Homestay and Support Program fee paid by international students covers all the following:

  • Application fee
  • Guardianship by the Principal
  • Airport pick-up on first arrival
  • Placement in a selected homestay
  • Supervision and support while in the homestay
  • All payments to the homestay
  • Assistance when purchasing College uniform
  • Assistance in opening a bank account.

The homestays for international students are all within public transport or walking distance from the College. The homestay provider is either a single person, a family or a married couple. All providers have been extensively interviewed with police checks completed for safety and referees consulted for verification. They are people who are willing to share their home and their time with the internationals student placed there.

Each student has a separate room with a bed, desk, chair, lamp, cupboard and heating. Telephone requirements can be discussed with the homestay. The student shares the facilities in the home, for example the bathroom and family room.

The homestay provides:

  • A supportive and caring environment for study
  • Three meals a day and snacks for after school and evening
  • Assistance with laundry needs
  • Advice about public transport
  • Advice about the local area.
