This morning, Friday 28 August we held our Inaugural Father’s Day Breakfast which was attended by 184 Father’s and their son’s across all Year levels.
It was evident from the wonderful response we received that this was a very special morning for both fathers and sons. As everyone enjoyed the lovely breakfast, there was the opportunity for conversations before our guest speaker, Mr Alan Richardson (Senior Coach, St Kilda FC) addressed the group on being a dad, supporting his boys through secondary school, being a member of the Whitefriars community …. and his choice of music! We then drew out the lucky winners of some generous prizes donated by the Parents Association in the form of Gift Vouchers from Bunnings and JB Hi-Fi, and bottles of red wine which were all very well received.
Thank you to everyone who attend the event and for those who missed out on this occasion, we hope to see you next year. We would also like to thank everyone involved in the events organisation; there is always a team behind the scenes.
We wish all father’s within the Whitefriars community a very happy Father’s Day and we look forward to hosting the breakfast again next year.
