My name is Tom Fazackerley, and I am lucky enough to have the position of English Captain in 2020.

Last Tuesday, myself and the Year 12 English and EAL cohort were lucky enough to watch a live performance of ‘Extinction’, a play we are currently studying in our classes.

The play was conducted incredibly well, with four highly accomplished actors and actresses from the Complete Works Theatre Company, giving us an unparalleled insight into the story of ‘Extinction’.

Seeing the play live has certainly allowed us as a cohort to really see the characters in a new light, especially through seeing for ourselves the various theatrical elements of Extinction, as well as staging and use of props. This experience will really help us with our analysis of the play, allowing a deeper understanding of the inner workings of the play.
