Curiosity, Conversation, Community

Cultural Diversity Day was yet another great opportunity to come together, have some fun and celebrate who we are as a community. The day saw staff and students wear colourful outfits that represented their cultures and heritage. Footy colours, flags and sombreros could be spotted around the Colle among many other traditional outfits. The colour around the College sparked curiosity and conversations between students and teachers about where their families are from and what is special about their culture.

Activities included the Around the World Scavenger Hunt which led students around the school holding a paper passport to visit different countries and learn about heir cultures.

Students at home participated in the fierce “My Culture Rules†Cooking competition and the much loved Multicultural Kahoot.

At lunchtime the quadrangle and the cage were alive with excitement as the Basketball Cultural Cup got underway. Whitefriars’ best basketballers from Year 7 and the senior years fought it out in the renowned 3 v 3 competition to make it to the Grand Final to be played later this week.
