Clean Up Schools Day

VCAL and Sustainability and Environment Team (SET) joined forces for Clean Up Schools Day on Friday 6th March. With the help of Mr Johnson and Mr Bohan, the students collected 26kg from Mullum Mullum Creek and the College ovals. Weird items included a deceased juvenile tiger snake, bike helmet and witches hat. A highlight was observing a relaxed rainbow lorikeet in the bushes. One student observed “the amount of rubbish increases as we get closer to the school!â€Â  Whilst College waste has improved, students are continually encouraged to put the right waste in the right bin. SET strongly encourages families to use sustainable containers or packaging for student snacks and lunch. Please no cling wrap!
