On Wednesday 6 October the Chess team competed in the ACC Junior and Intermediate Chess tournament online. Both teams, under the leadership of Rhonda Powling (Chess Coach) and Hayden Menzies (Chess Captain), performed exceptionally well against very tough opposition. Of particular note was the Intermediate Chess team which finished 3rd in their division; a very commendable result. The Junior Chess team also performed above expectations with a creditable 4th place in their division.
Our top performing players in the tournament were Alex Boscariol (5th ranked), Alastair Capell (6th ranked) and Lucas Superina (11th ranked).
