Congratulations to the following Whitefriars Cross Country students who competed in our second Saturday event for the season, the 2022 Victorian All Schools Cross Country Championships at Bundoora Park.

We had some fantastic results and all students that competed should be extremely proud of their efforts.

Some of the highlights individually were:

• Oscar Wright finishing 9^th in a time of 10.08 minutes in the 3km U/14 Event
• Cameron Ellis finishing 5^th in a time of 13.24 minutes in the 4km U/16 Event
• Callum White finish 10^th in a time of 28.38 minutes in the U/20 8km Event

By finishing in the top 10 places in their age groups, both Oscar and Cameron have now also qualified to compete in the 2022 Australian Cross County Championships in South Australia, on Saturday the 27^th of August.

Some team highlights were:

• Our U/16 team comprising of Cameron Ellis, James Dorat-Sims, Liam Kha, Ethan Gaunt and Ashley White; being awarded ‘Third’ place.
• Our U/17 team comprising of Josh Ascar, Joel Imbriano, Jacob Tymms, Harrison Little, Henry Ferns and James Palumbo; being awarded ‘Second’ place.

Well done again to all who competed.  All the results are listed below and please remember that training is on again this Wednesday morning.  Please meet outside of the Guggenheimer Gym at 7.10am.
