2021 ACC Senior Cricket

What an excellent season for Whitefriars, with high levels of participation and some outstanding team and individual performances from across the board.

The 1st XI competed in the 35 over competition. They finished the regular season 2nd and hosted a home semi-final against De La Salle College on the Whitefriars main oval. Chasing 90 runs to win on a difficult pitch, the boys unfortunately fell just short by 10 runs.

The 2nd XI playing in the division 2 T20 competition, similarly, fell just short of a spot in the grand final.

A huge congratulations to opening batsmen Jamie Ross who managed to score 101 not out in the 1st XI. The innings was one of the few hundreds made for the College in recent history. Congratulations Jamie!

A big thank you must go to all the players who contributed this year, playing every Wednesday afternoon is a big commitment and I hope enjoyed it. To the Year 12s who have played their last ever game for the College, thank you and well done.

A special thank you to coaches Mr Kellar and Mr Ciardulli, your guidance and coaching during the season is much appreciated by all the boys.

Good luck to our Year 7-10s who will play cricket in Term 4. It won’t be long until you’ll be representing the College in senior cricket.
